With the Digital Minds Conference behind me, I was able to relax a bit today and visited Hampton Court.
Amazing! Simply beautiful, full of history and I loved every moment of it. I grew up enthralled with King Henry VII and his many wives and to walk through their home, to see how they lived etc … amazing.
We then hit Harrods where I found chocolate macaroons and tasted one for the first time … heaven. Simply heaven.
Now, I have a conundrum. I have blisters on the bottom of my toes. I swear they can’t be from my shoes since they are supposed to be good and I haven’t had issues before now (although, I’m not normally walking for 5 hrs or more at a time). How do I deal with this? Any suggestions? I’ll take anything! I already drained most and thought to just put a bandaid on?
This evening I visited the London Book Fair to help ALLi (Alliance of Independent Authors) celebrate their one year anniversary and a new book launch. The Fair was … gigantic. Almost like a maze. Afterwards I went out for dinner with Amazon and had a fabulous time! I’m so thrilled to be working with them π
I hope you’re enjoying my quick updates. It’s normally around 1am here that I’m able to get on the computer and post this so I apologize if they aren’t as detailed as they could be!
Definitely Moleskin. They are fabulous and prevent more.
It all sounds wonderful … except the blisters! Buy some Moleskin at the pharmacy or “chemists” at they say over there!
Ouch to the blisters.
I’d recommend some polysporin on them as well as the bandaids, so they heal faster and don’t get infected.
I’m glad you’re having fun, and I’ve been reading all your posts π
Love your reports Steena. π
Great trip for you! Bandage and pad those blisters, and keep walking and seeing the sights!
Bandage and Pad – will do! Thanks Phyllis. I just need to suck it up π
